  • employed in 2003 at the environmental consulting firm Pinchin Environmental, as part of the air & noise group.
  • worked on environmental noise and vibration projects including acoustic assessments, audits and abatement design; industrial noise monitoring; and other project work consistent with environmental health and safety services.
  • joined Aercoustics in 2007 as a project engineer.
  • in architectural acoustics: involved in several projects with various architects including HOK Architects, Diamond and Schmitt, etc.; and acted as lead acoustical engineer for the Oqyana World First project in Dubai. The Oqyana project included multiple THX certified theatres and other high-end acoustically sensitive spaces (hotels, restaurants, etc).
  • in industrial noise: involved in several noise and vibration impact studies for the aggregate industry. Projects have included the Rockfort Quarry, Melancthon Quarry and the Numogate Quarry, as well as numerous studies for various Ready-Mix plants for CBM, Lafarge and Metrix. And has appeared as an expert witness before the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB).
  • in vibration: participated in the vibration measurement, analysis and design for various projects including: high-rise building vibration transmission due to athletic activities on upper floors; and environmental ground-borne vibration affecting neighbouring residential receptors due to brick-making activities.
  • in the land use planning process: completed studies on the noise impact for proposed residential development, which includes noise from road, rail, and aircraft traffic and stationary noise sources; and acted as a peer review for various municipalities.
  • member, Institute of Noise Control Engineering of the USA Inc (INCE). member, Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
