Collaboration, Inclusion, Success
At Aercoustics, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a highly skilled and experienced team of engineers who have made Aercoustics Canada’s premier engineering firm in acoustic design, noise control and vibration control. Our projects are well known around the world: across Canada, in the United States, Central America, Europe, Australia, China and the Middle East.
We understand the importance of a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our conviction is that all workers, regardless of their history or personal traits, should be treated with dignity and respect. Our hiring and promotion processes adhere to a merit-based system, ensuring that we have the most qualified individuals on our team.
We at Aercoustics prioritize the well-being and mental health of our team members and recognize the value of flexible work and support each other in achieving it.
So, if you are ready to tap into the frequencies of noises and vibrations, we invite you apply for any open position to be part of our inclusive work environment. We are proud of our positive atmosphere where everyone has the potential to flourish and succeed.
Kulture in Action
The Social Kulture Team champions the company charter by keeping people connected, providing helpful resources, running fun events, and anything and everything in between. Some of our many initiatives include:
- Social events – in-office jam sessions, book club, local theatre, Second City nights, board games, hiking, and picnics.
- Giving back to our community – designing, donating, and building at the annual Canstruction event, and donating our time and money to charity drives for the Super Sophia Project, Red Door Family Shelter, and more.
- Mental Health Resources – Sharing resources to help manage mental health and wellness, including our weekly Wellness Bingo which rewards our team for taking care of their mental health.
Rogue Week
Once a quarter, on a Thursday afternoon, the Aercoustics team comes together to innovate and spark new ideas. Everyone in the office is encouraged to work on any project and it does not have to be company related. Our Rogue Days are meant to be an opportunity to create. Many have led to new tools and software, technology and solutions now used by our consulting engineering practice – including the award-winning Stratford Festival Tom Patterson Theatre.
Benefits & Perks
Unlimited Paid Time Off
At Aercoustics we believe that if you need a personal day, you should have one, which is why we offer flexible PTO, a mandatory holiday shut down between Christmas and New Year’s, all in addition to the statutory holidays. This applies to all Aercoustics full-time team members. We base this on mutual trust and the belief that everyone is an adult and can manage their time. It gives team members opportunities to work or take time off as they see fit, as long as performance is maintained. Aercoustics doesn’t limit the amount of PTO a team member can take but we DO have a minimum requirement.
Flexible Work Arrangements
Our goal as a company is to maintain our great kulture and flexibility. We have taken what we have learned from the pandemic and created a great hybrid work model. By balancing the needs of the company and our people we have adapted how we operate to continue to support a flexible and inclusive environment. We do see the value of bringing people together in the office to collaborate and a hybrid model allows us to meet the needs of our customers, our business, and our people.
Focus Fridays and Summer Hours
At Aercoustics, we have made Fridays sacred focusing on wellness and balance.
Focus Fridays: Every Friday, there are no internal meetings so that people can focus and gain back time they have lost to meetings during the week. We call this Focus Friday.
Summer Hours: We also have summer hours from May long weekend to Labour Day, where the office closes at 12 on Fridays.
E.F.F. Off Fridays (Educate. Focus. Fuel)
One Friday every month from October to May, we look forward to telling our team members to “E.F.F. Off”. Maybe not what you are expecting to hear from an HR professional, but in this case, it means (E)ducate (F)ocus (F)uel. On this day, known as E.F.F off Friday, we dedicate the mornings to Learning and Development (Educate and Focus) and the afternoons are for team members to do whatever they want, but with the main focus being recharging (Fuel) and taking time for themselves.
