Boralex was one of the winners of the expedited LT1 power procurement from the IESO . They are contracted to develop and connect a 300 MW battery energy storage facility.
The Innovation:
Aercoustics helped our client evaluate a range of possible battery suppliers for acoustic performance. As this is an emerging technology, there was a great deal of work and support provided to analyse available noise data from different suppliers and evaluate potential risk of noise issues. Mitigation elements are being designed early to ensure the nearby sensitive receptors are adequately protected when the facility comes online.
