Celebrating Women in Engineering

In honour of the International Women in Engineering Day, Aercoustics published a blog post written by Doreen Abraham: Whole Life, One Self. Through the blog, Doreen reflects on what it means to bring your whole self to work and life. She shares her experience navigating a career in engineering while embracing the many roles she plays beyond her title. It’s an honest look at identity, empathy, and why we don’t need to switch hats to belong. At Aercoustics, we believe in showing up as we are. And Doreen’s story is a powerful reminder of the strength in doing just that.

Blackhurst Cultural Centre

The Blackhurst Cultural Centre is a nonprofit hub dedicated to celebrating the rich culture, history, and contributions of African and Caribbean Canadians. Aercoustics is proud to have played a role in this meaningful project by providing acoustic design services. On June 6, our team had the pleasure of attending their fundraising event; an evening that brought the community together through music, storytelling, and shared purpose.

As the Centre prepares to open its doors, the Buy a Brick campaign offers a special way to be part of its story. By purchasing an engraved brick, you can help shape a space where culture is preserved, shared, and celebrated for generations to come.

Belleville Ferry Terminal

The Belleville Terminal Redevelopment Project is transforming Victoria’s Inner Harbour into a modern, secure, and environmentally sustainable international ferry terminal. Aercoustics is proud to have supported this important infrastructure upgrade by providing specialized acoustic design services to help manage noise and vibration. Our work helps ensure that passengers, staff, and the broader community experience a comfortable, high-quality environment that aligns with the project’s ambitious standards. This redevelopment not only enhances the travel experience but also strengthens connections and supports the long-term vitality of the region.

Exciting Changes in the Aercoustics Team

We are happy to share that Duncan Halstead has been promoted to Vice President of Operations. With over a decade at Aercoustics, Duncan’s technical expertise, process-driven mindset, and people-first leadership have been key to our growth and success.

In other exciting news, Kohl Clark has been promoted to Associate in our Environmental sector. Since joining in 2016, Kohl has led complex environmental noise projects with a strong focus on sustainability and continuous improvement.

Huge congratulations to both. We are looking forward to this exciting next chapter!
