The Challenge:
Without much in the way of precedent in Ontario for this type of issue, one of the biggest solar plants in Canada needed help to operate within acceptable sound levels.
The Innovation:
When it came online in 2009, Arnprior Solar Farm doubled the national solar capacity almost overnight! This rapid growth broke new ground in many areas so an experienced and knowledgeable noise consulting team. Through much research, and by employing special approaches, the Aercoustics team was able to develop and carry out noise emission modelling which allowed Arnprior Solar Farms to meet, and operate, within acceptable sound level limits.
