To maximize the potential of media and digital production within a high-density, public-facing broadcast centre for CBC and Radio-Canada.
The Innovation:
Montreal’s new 418,000 sqft Maison Radio-Canada facility includes television broadcast platforms, closed television studio, radio broadcast, multi-purpose event spaces, sensitive office spaces, and live-to-air music broadcast showcasing world class performances – all within a smaller footprint than the previous location. The radio and television studios overlook the central, sky-light atrium and give the public a behind the scenes look at production. Aercoustics was on the design team from the very beginning, providing site measurements, layout review, detailed design, contract administration, and commissioning.
