The Challenge:
To protect northwest Toronto from the noise and vibration impact of the 11km LRT line, helping deliver a vital transit system which will cut down travel time and provide more options for travel.
The Innovation:
Aercoustics provided significant noise and vibration engineering services for one of Toronto’s LRT expansions stretching from Finch Avenue West between Keele Street and Humber College. Our services included track design study, a multi-year noise and vibration monitoring campaign, indoor and outdoor noise and vibration measurements (including Federal Transit Administration Vibration Propagation Testing and Force Density Level testing), and construction support.
