To support construction of a new light rail transit (LRT) system that connects two major cities in Ontario, while minimizing the noise and vibration impacts on the surrounding communities and environment.
The Innovation:
Aercoustics is providing expert consulting and monitoring services for the Hazel McCallion LRT Line, which spans 18 km from Port Credit GO Station in Mississauga to Gateway Terminal in Brampton, Ontario. Aercoustics is using advanced technology and methods to meet the contract requirements for construction noise and vibration management, as well as to monitor the construction activities in real-time using 14 strategically placed monitors. Aercoustics is helping ensure that the Hazel McCallion LRT Line is delivered with the highest standards of safety and comfort.
