The Challenge:
Creating an acoustically isolated multi-use space within the busy downtown core of Toronto.
The Innovation:
Aercoustics was the acoustical consultant for the TIFF Bell Lightbox project, including the Festival Tower condominiums. The project includes a 42-storey condominium atop the home of the Toronto International Film Festival. The 5-storey podium includes five cinemas, 3 learning studios, restaurants, museums, and a large public atrium. Aercoustics was able to engineer everything to work together, so world-class cinemas could coexist with the daily realities of condominium living in busy downtown Toronto.
