BC Hydro is embarking on a new journey to procure renewable power for the first time in over a decade. Aercoustics will be here to support Independent Power Producers as they respond to BC Hydro Call for Power and to ensure acoustics is well looked after.

Ontario is again in need of new power generation and is looking to existing wind power projects to explore increasing their generation capacity. Permitting here has always been challenging given the population density of rural Ontario. The event was hosted at Concept Lab in Vancouver where Payam shared his expertise on achieving great acoustic performance in mass timber buildings without concrete toppings. The Ontario Association of Architects 2024

Aercoustics’ Principal Nicholas Sylvestre-Williams delivered a presentation on Rethinking Density: Noise and Vibration in the Urban Core.” at The Ontario Association of Architects 2024 Conference on May 23rd. The presentation addressed the challenges that new transit-oriented communities may have. In discussing the risks, considerations, and solutions to this obstacle, Nicholas spoke about the nearby noise and vibration concerns that should be addressed when building new communities. Internoise 2024

Amanda Robinson will be attending Internoise in August to present acoustic research information on education spaces and a case study on theatre design. As part of ongoing support for acoustics in education, she is also part of the Institute of Acoustics Project Reverb – an initiative from the Institute of Acoustics, which is gaining global support on how to educate educators and learners about acoustics from a young age.
