Turning a flytower into a theatre.

The Meridian Arts Centre Greenwin Theatre and Lyric Theatre are two new theatres which were designed within the shell of the previous 1,800 seat theatre. The Greenwin Theatre is located in what was previously the flytower of the original theatre. To date, we do not know of any other project where a flytower has been repurposed as a theatre space in itself. This is an extremely unique project which presented several challenges (including sound isolation performance between the two adjacent theatres) but came to be a true cultural gem.
